Past Projects

Painted snowboard of cataract canyon ledge camp with topographic map of river section underneath

Groovy

140cm snowboard

1 month

The top portion of the board is an upstream view of our groove spot at the ledge camp on cataract canyon. The topographic underneath is of the Green and Colorado confluence in cataract canyon. At the beginning of that double loop in the river is where this picture was taken. My favorite part of this piece is tied between the water, and the groover in the middle having the river spilling out of it in the topo.

A detailed black and white sketch of a medieval stone castle with multiple towers, conical roofs, a clock on one tower, and a stone bridge over water.

Powerhouse

Pen and Ink

2’x2.5’

6 months

This hangs proudly in my parents house now. It was something I made for my dad. My favorite part of this piece is the little frog I put in the window. The most fun part of this piece was the detail on the stone work on the arched bridge and entrance.

A pair of yellow leather gloves with printed designs of a dog wearing a hat, Red Bull energy drink can, a bottle of water, and the text 'FAD 14' on the back.
Pen and ink stipling of a stegosaurus.
Illustration of cocoa pods and a half-open cocoa pod revealing cocoa beans in black and white.
Book cover titled 'Pasta' with a black horizontal line and an illustration of various pasta shapes below the title.

Big Belly Stego

Pen and Ink

8.5”x11”

2 months

This is a stegosaurus that I made in college. I used stippling so there isn’t single line in the entire thing. After I did this, I swore I would never do just stippling again. It was a fun challenge but man was it tedious. That being said, my favorite part of making this piece was his spines. The belly made it feel like it was starting to to come together, but the spines were just really fun to make.

A pair of hand-painted Converse sneakers, with one yellow and one blue, sitting on a wooden railing outside, with green trees and a body of water in the background.

The Wedding

Pen and Ink/Marker

M9.5, W7

1 week

These are the shoes that My husband and I wore for our wedding. We continued to use them on many adventures until they needed to be retired. I like the pen and ink shoe better than the marker shoe. Since then, have improved the colored mountain style.

A detailed black-and-white sketch of a lighthouse near the ocean, with a stone building and a top lantern room, leafless trees, cloudy sky, and a wooden fence along the coastline.
Line drawing of a bowl of rice with the word 'Rice' above it.
Illustration of almond flour with seven almonds below text 'Almond Flour' separated by a horizontal line.
Colorful snowboard deck with mountain, cloud, and landscape illustrations

From Mountains to Valleys

Spray Paint/Sharpie

152cm snowboard

2 weeks

This is a custom job I did for a client in 2023. His only requests were to have Mount Fuji, and Mount Crested Butte. I had creative freedom on everything from colors to the final third. He lives in the Gunnison valley close to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison which is the topographic section of the board. My favorite part of making the whole thing was the clouds. I was experimenting with a new kind of illustration and they turned out amazing! Overall though, I love the style I used for Mount Crested Butte. I attempted a more simplistic style as opposed to my usual love for detail. He has been riding that board for the past 3 seasons.

Painted snowboard deck featuring a mountain range with snow-capped peaks and a sky with clouds at sunset.

Princeton

Acrylic

148cm snowboard

1 month

This was made for a client in 2022 as wall art. I had experimented with this style of coloring earlier that summer and decided to try it large scale. Sketching out the lights and shadows was the hardest part. Once paint was out, it went fairlquickly. The clouds were a struggle. I think I redid them about 4 times. My favorite one is the little one middle right. He’s a cutie.

Lake Ontario Lighthouse

Pen and Ink

8.5”x11”

2 days

I did this for a client as a present for her parents. It is a lighthouse near where they live in upstate NY along lake Ontario.

A pair of beige oven mitts with sketches and text. The left mitt has a skier illustration and says "Racer Ready." The right mitt has a mountain sketch and says "Crested Butte."

Head Coach

Pen and Ink

Medium Gloves

4 days

These were done for the head Coach of the race program at Crested Butte. The view of the mountain is from the top of the start. This is one of my favorite depictions of CB I have done so far. The tress were the most challenging part but they ended up being my favorite part.

Pair of yellow and black insulated mittens with mountain and forest design, labeled 'KINCO' and 'Flatroons'.
Drawing of sugar cubes with the word 'Sugar' and a line separating the text from the cubes.
Text reading 'Sprinkles' above a horizontal line, with colorful sprinkles illustrated below.
Minimalist black-and-white illustration of a fork with spaghetti wrapped around the tines, with the word 'Spaghetti' at the top.
Graphic with text 'Chocolate Chips' above an illustration of five black chocolate chips.

Energizers

Pen and Ink

Small Gloves

4 days

These were one of my first commissions that wasn’t family or friends. A very exciting moment for me. The client had a very clear idea of what he wanted. It was fun making the mountains match up from one glove to the next. I meant to make it do that when the palms are facing you but I got distracted and goofed. My personal favorite is the thumbs. They were the most fun to make and they came out really well.

Minimalist graphic of wheat and the word 'Flour' above a line, on a white background.

Kitchen Labels

Electronic

1 week

Below, you will see a bunch of labels I made for my sister for her kitchen containers. She is my best customer by far. My favorite one that I did was the cocoa powder as I’m sure you could’ve guessed. I love how the detail came out. The flour is a close second with its soft look.
